PRIVATE LEGAL PRACTITIONER/STATE COUNSEL USER MANUAL

ACCESS THE WEBSITE

To access the Rivers State Court Management Information System (RIVCOMIS); Open a browser and enter the 'RIVCOMIS URL'; http//rivcomis.riversstate.gov.ng The dashboard shown in the image below will display

ACCOUNTS

All users of the RIVCOMIS platform will have to register with valid personal information to create an account.

After registration, the user account would be authenticated and activated by the admin. This will enable the user to successfully login to the platform and perform various actions.

Step 1: Login to the website using 'http//rivcomis.riverssate.gov.ng

Step 2: Click on ‘Account’

Step 3: Click ‘Create New Account’

Step 4: Select Private Legal Practitioner as ‘Account Type’

Step 5: (a) Fill in your personal information then click ‘Next’

  1. Fill in your official information then click ‘Next’

  2. Upload a valid ‘ID Card’ and ‘Seal’

Step 6: Click on ‘Submit’, a message will display with the information ‘Sign up was

successful, an email has been sent to you’

Step 7: The private legal practitioner / sate counsel will receive an automated

‘Email’ with account details (username and password)

Step 8: When the ‘Admin Activates’ the account, the private legal practitioner/ state counsel will receive a link to activate account, if the ‘Admin Rejects’ the account creation, the private legal practitioner / state counsel will receive an email with reasons stating why account creation was rejected.

HOW TO LOGIN

Step 1: Login to the website using http://rivcomis.riverssate.gov.ng Step 2: Click ‘Account’ on the login page

Step 3: Enter your ‘Legal Email Address’ carrying nigerianbar.ng and ‘Password’

Step 4: Click ‘Login’ to successfully access your legal practitioner / state

counsel’s account

The legal practitioner / state counsel’s dashboard will display as seen below.

HOW TO VIEWAND EDIT YOUR PROFILE

Step 1: After loging in, click on ‘View Profile’ under CoMiS Dashboard

Step 2: Go to ‘Profile Overview’ and click on any of the fields you want to edit such as Personal information, Official details, Security questions or Change Password

Step 3: Click ‘Edit Profile’ which will enable you edit that field Step 4: Click ‘Save Changes’ after editing each of the fields This enables you customize your page.

HOW TO FILE A NEW SUIT

Step 1: On your Dashboard, click on ‘New Fillings’

Step 2: Different types of fillings will display, click on ‘New Suit’

Step 3: Select ‘Court Type’, ‘Filing Category’ and ‘Filing Type’

Step 4: Select ‘Claimant Type’ individual, corporate or state/police by clicking on the circle icon

Step 4a: If the User selects ‘Individual’, the user will have to enter the following

with the Claimant’s information:

    1. Enter ‘First Name’

    2. Enter ‘Middle Name’

    3. Enter ‘Last Name’

    4. Enter ‘Counsel’s Name’

    5. Enter ‘Counsel’s Address’

    6. Click ‘+’ to add more claimants

    7. After filing the needed information, click ‘Save claimant+’ and then ‘next’

to proceed

Note: There is the ‘preview section’ at the right-hand side of the page where the user sees the information added.

Step 4b: If the User selects ‘Corporate’, the User will have to enter the following

with the Claimant’s information:

      1. Enter ‘Corporation Name’

      2. Enter ‘Counsel Name’

      3. Enter ‘Counsel Address’

      4. Click ‘+’ to add more claimants

      5. After filing the needed information, click ‘Save claimant+’ and then

‘next’ to proceed

Note: There is the ‘preview section’ at the right-hand side of the page where the user sees the information added.

Step 4c: if the user selects ‘State/Police’ the user will have to enter the following

with the claimant’s information:

  1. Enter ‘State/Police Name’

  2. Enter ‘Counsel Name’

  3. Enter ‘Counsel Address’

  4. Click ‘+’ to add more claimants

  5. After filing the needed information, click ‘Save claimant+’ and then ‘next’

to proceed.

Note: You can delete the information by clicking on the icon on the right- hand side of the page. To go back and correct any error, click on ‘Previous’

Step 5: Select ‘Defendant Type’ individual, corporate or state/police by clicking on the circle icon

Step 5a: If the user selects ‘individual’, the user will have to complete the

following with the defendant’s information.

  1. Enter ‘First Name’

  2. Enter ‘Middle Name’

  3. Enter ‘Last Name’

  4. Enter ‘Counsel Name’

  5. Enter ‘Counsel Address’

  6. Click ‘+’ to add more defendants

  7. Enter ‘Email Address’

  8. Enter ‘Phone Number’

  9. Enter ‘Address of Defendant’

  10. Enter ‘Town’ and ‘City’

  11. Select ‘State’ and ‘LGA’

  12. After filing the needed information, click ‘Save defendant+’ and then

‘next’ to proceed

Note: There is the ‘Preview Section’ where the user sees the information added Step 5b: If the user selects ‘Corporations’, the user will have to complete the following with the corporation’s information:

  1. Enter ‘Corporation Name’

  2. Enter ‘Counsel Name’

  3. Enter ‘Counsel Address’

  4. Click ‘+’ to add more defendants

  5. Enter ‘Email Address’

  6. Enter ‘Phone Number’

  7. Enter ‘Address of Defendant’

  8. Enter ‘Town’ and ‘City’

  9. Select ‘State’ and ‘LGA’

  10. After filing the needed information, click ‘Save defendant+’ and then

‘next’ to proceed

Note: There is the ‘Preview Section’ where the user sees the information added Step 5c: If the user selects ‘State’, the user will have to enter the following with the defendant’s information

  1. Enter ‘State Name’

  2. Enter ‘Counsel Name’

  3. Enter ‘Counsel Address’

  4. Click ‘+’ to add more defendants

  5. Enter ‘Email Address’

  6. Enter ‘Phone Number’

  7. Enter ‘Address of Defendant’

  8. Enter ‘Town’ and ‘City’

  9. Select ‘State’ and ‘LGA’

  10. After filing the needed information, click ‘Save defendant+’ and then

‘next’ to proceed

Note: You can delete the information by clicking on the icon on the right- hand side of the page. To go back and correct any error, click on ‘Previous’ Step 6: Upload your ‘Writ Document’ and other supporting documents and click on ‘Next’

Step 7: Click on ‘Private legal practitioner’

Step 8: Select ‘Assessment Type’

Step 9: Select ‘Court Division’. a message will appear asking for confirmation for the division chosen. If you are sure click ‘Yes’

  1. If you selected ‘Self-Assessment’, checklist your documents and click on

‘Proceed’

  1. If you selected ‘Registry Assessment’, click on ‘Proceed’

Step 10: A message will appear that the filing with a particular system number has been added successfully, Click ‘Ok’

Step 11: Preview your information and click ‘Finish’. A message will display with the information, You have successfully completed a filing, click ‘Ok’.

HOW TO FILE AN EXISTING SUIT

Step 1: On your Dashboard, click on ‘New Fillings’

Step 2: Click on ‘Existing Suits’

Step 3: Select the type of Existing Suit you want to file as shown in the picture below

HOW TO FILE A DEFENCE SUIT

Step 1: Click ‘Proceed’ in Defence filings box

Step 2: Select ‘Court Type’, ‘Counsel’, and ‘Defence Filing’

Step 3: Enter ‘Suit Number’ and click ‘Search’

Step 4: Select the Defendant you are appearing for and click ‘Next’

Step 5: Select the name of the document and click ‘Upload Document’ to upload each of your documents. Click on ‘Add More’ if you have more documents to upload and click ‘Next’

Step 6: Click on ‘Private Legal Practitioner’

Step 7: Select ‘Division’

Step 8: Checklist your documents and click ‘Save Defence Filing’

Step 9: A message will appear with the information ‘Filing with a peculiar system no has been added successfully’, click ‘Ok’

Step 10: Click ‘Next’ to preview what you have filed and click ‘Finish’

A pop up appears with the message ‘You have successfully completed a process, please wait for further updates. Thanks.’ Click ‘Ok’.

HOW TO FILE A MOTION FOR JOINDER

Step 1: Click on ‘Proceed’ in the Motion for Joinder box

Step 2: Select ‘Court Type’ and ‘Counsel’

Step 3: Enter ‘Suit Number’ and click ‘Search’

Step 4: The Claimant/Defendant information comes out with their counsels, click

‘Next’

Step 5: Enter the name of the document and click ‘Upload Document’ to upload each of your documents. Click on ‘Add more’ if you have more documents to upload

Step 6: Click on ‘Private Legal Practitioner’ and ‘Select Division’

Step 7: Checklist your documents and click ‘Save Motion for Joinder’

Step 8: A message will appear with the information ‘Filing with a peculiar system

no has been added successfully’, click ‘Ok’

Step 9: Click ‘Next’ to preview what you have filed and click ‘Finish’.

A pop up appears with the message ‘You have successfully completed a process, please wait for further updates. Thanks.’ Click ‘Ok’.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A MOTION

Step 1: Click on ‘Proceed’ in the Motions box Step 2: Select ‘Court Type’ and ‘Application Title’ Step 3: Enter ‘Suit Number’ and click search

Step 4: An overview of the Claimant and defendant information will appear, click ‘Next’

Step 5: Select the name of the document and click ‘Upload Document’ to upload each of your documents. Click on ‘Add More’ if you have more documents to upload and click ‘Next’

Step 6: Click ‘Private Legal Practitioner’ Step 7: Select ‘Division’

Step 8: Checklist your documents and click ‘Save Application’

Step 9: A prompt will appear with the information, Application with a special system no has been added successfully, click ‘Ok’

Step 10: Click ‘Next’ to preview what you have filled and click ‘Finish’.

A pop up appears with the message ‘You have successfully completed a

process, please wait for further updates. Thanks.’ Click ‘Ok’.

HOW FILE AN OLD CASE

Step 1: Click ‘Proceed’ in the old cases box

Step 2: Select ‘Court Type’, ‘Judge/Magistrate’ and ‘Application’

Step 3: Enter ‘Suit Number’ and click ‘Search’

Step 4: Select ‘Claimant Type’ such as Individual, Corporate or State/Police by clicking on the circle icon

Step 4a: Fill in the necessary information in the fields provided

Step 4b: Click on the + to add more claimants

Step 4c: Click ‘Save Claimant+’ and then ‘next’ to proceed

Step 5: Select ‘Defendant Type’ such as Individual, Corporate or State/Police by clicking on the circle icon

Step 5a: Fill in the necessary information in the fields provided

Step 5a: Click on the + to add more claimant

Step 5b: Click ‘Save Defendant+’ and then ‘next’ to proceed

Step 6: Select the name of the document and click ‘Upload Document’ to upload each of your documents. Click on ‘Add More’ if you have more documents to upload and click ‘Next’

Step 7: Click on ‘Private Legal Practitioner’ Step 8: Select ‘Assessment Type’

HOW TO FILE AN AFFIDAVIT

GENERAL AFFIDAVIT

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Click ‘Affidavit’

Step 3: Select ‘General Affidavit’

Step 4: Fill the form displayed with the accurate information

Step 5: Click on ‘Browse File’ to upload a passport

Step 6: Click ‘Paragraph’, ‘Sub Paragraph’ or ‘Sub Sub Paragraph’ to input any

additional information. Make sure you click the icon after inputting so as to save.

Step 7: Click ‘Preview and Proceed’

Step 8: Click ‘Cancel’ to go back and make necessary correction

Step9: Click ‘Done’ if your information is correct

Step 10: You will get a notification that your affidavit was successfully saved, click ‘Ok’

Step 11: Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to make payment.

AFFIDAVIT OF CORRECTION OF NAME

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Click ‘Affidavit’

Step 3: Select ‘Correction of Name’

Step 4: Fill the form displayed with the accurate information including the wrong name and the correct name

Step 5: Click ‘Browse File’ to upload a passport

Step 6: Click ‘Create Affidavit’. Paragraphs numbered 1-5 will appear, you can edit it by clicking on the three dots on the right side of each of them

Step 7: Click ‘Paragraph’, ‘Sub Paragraph’ or ‘Sub Sub Paragraph’ to input

additional information. Make sure you click the icon after inputting so as to save

Step 8: Click ‘Preview and Proceed’

Step 9: Click ‘Cancel’ to go back and make necessary corrections

Step 10: Click ‘Done’ if your information is correct

Step 11: You will get a notification that your affidavit was successfully saved, click ‘Ok’

Step 12: Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to make payment.

AFFIDAVIT OF STATUTORY DECLARATION OF AGE

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Click ‘Affidavit’

Step 3: Select ‘Statutory Declaration of Age’

Step 4: Fill the form displayed with the accurate information

Step 5: Click ‘Browse File’ in each of the available spaces to upload a passport

Step 6: Click ‘Create Affidavit’. Paragraphs numbered 1-5 will appear, you can edit it by clicking on the three dots on the right side of each of them

Step 7: Click ‘Paragraph’, ‘Sub Paragraph’ or ‘Sub Sub Paragraph’ to input

additional information. Make sure you click the icon after inputting so as to save

Step 8: Click ‘Preview and Proceed’

Step 9: Click ‘Cancel’ to go back and make necessary corrections

Step 10: Click ‘Done’ if your information is correct

Step 11: You will get a notification that your affidavit was successfully saved, click ‘Ok’

Step 12: Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to make payment.

N/B: You can use this process to file any other affidavit as long as you fill the forms (which may differ) appropriately.

FILING UNDER MISCELLANEOUS

HOW TO PAY FOR CERTIFIED TRUE COPY (CTC)

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Different types of filings will display, click ‘Miscellaneous’

Step 3: Click ‘Proceed’ in the Certified True Copy (CTC) box

Step 4: Select ‘Court Type’

Step 5: Click on Private Legal Practitioner and select ‘Division’

Step 6: A notification will pop up asking you to confirm the division chosen. Click

‘Ok’

Step 7: Click on ‘Certified True Copy’

Step 8: Click on the check box ‘certified true copy’ and choose the number of pages by adding with the + icon

Step 10: A notification with the information Certified True Copy Successfully Added will appear, click ‘Ok’

Step 9: Click on ‘Add CTC’

Step 11: Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to make payment.

HOW TO PAY FOR FORMS AND LETTERS

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Different types of filings will display, click ‘Miscellaneous’

Step 3: Click on ‘Proceed’ in the Forms and Letters box

Step 4: Select ‘Form/Letter’ and ‘Court Type’

Step 5: Click ‘Private Legal Practitioner’

Step 6: Select ‘Division’

Step 7: A notification will pop up asking you to confirm the division chosen. Click

‘Ok’

Step 8: Click on ‘Letter to Chief Registrar’ or any form you chose

Step 9: Click on the check box ‘Letter to Chief Registrar’ and choose the number of pages

Step 10: Click ‘Save Form’

Step 11: A notification with the information Form Successfully Added will appear, click ‘Ok’

Step 12: Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to make payment.

HOW TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF VACATION/MIGRATED CASES

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Different types of filings will display, click ‘Miscellaneous’

Step 3: Click on ‘Proceed’ in the Vacation/migrated case(s)/take ownership box

Step 4: Enter ‘Suit Number’

Step 5: The claimant and defendant information will display as well as a disclaimer. Click on ‘Terms and Condition’ and then ‘Proceed’

Step 6: You will receive a notification saying that you have successfully taken ownership of the case, click ‘Ok’

HOW TO APPLY FOR CHILD ADOPTION

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Different types of filings will display, click ‘Miscellaneous’

Step 3: Click on ‘Proceed’ in the Child Adoption box

Step 4: Select ‘Court Type’, ‘Filing Category’ and ‘Filing Type’

Step 5: Select ‘Applicant Type’, fill in the Applicant information and click on ‘Add Applicant’

Step 6: You will get a notification with the information ‘Successfully added’, click

‘Ok’ and then click ‘Next’

Step 7: Select ‘Respondent Type’, fill in the Respondent information and click

‘Add Respondent’. To add more respondents, click on the + icon

Step 8: You will get a notification with the information ‘Successfully added’, click

‘Ok’ and then click ‘Next’

Step 9: Fill the Adoption Form 1, 2 and 3 and click on ‘Submit’

Step 10: You will get a notification with the information ‘Successfully saved, wait

for your form to be processed’, click ‘Ok’

Step 11: A preview of your form will appear, click ‘Next’

Step12: Upload the necessary documents and click ‘Proceed’

Step 13: Click ‘Private Legal Practitioner’, Select ‘Assessment Type’ and ‘Division’

checklist your documents and click ‘Next’

Step 14: Checklist your documents and click ‘Next’

Step 15: Preview to make sure all your informations are correct and click ‘Finish’

Step 16: A message will display that you have successfully completed the process, click ‘Ok’ to finish.

HOW TO FILE AN APPEAL

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘New Filings’

Step 2: Different types of filings will display, click ‘Miscellaneous’

Step 3: Click ‘Proceed’ in the Appeal box

Step 4: Select ‘Court Type’, ‘Filing Type’, and ‘Filing Category’ and enter ‘Suit

Number’

Step 5: Select ‘Appellant Type’, fill in the Appellant information and click ‘Save Appellant’

Note: You can add more appellants by clicking on the + icon

Step 6: You will get a notification with the information ‘Appellant added successfully’, click ‘Ok’ and then click ‘Next’

Step 7: Select ‘Respondent Type’, fill in the Respondent information and click

‘Add Respondent’

Step 8: You will get a notification with the information ‘Respondent successfully added’, click ‘Ok’ and then click ‘Next’

Step9: Upload the necessary documents and click ‘Next’

Step 10: Click on ‘Private Legal Practitioner’, select ‘Division’, checklist your documents and click ‘Save Appeal’

Step 11: You will get a notification with the information ‘Appeal with system no APPEAL***** added successfully’, click ‘Ok’ and then click ‘Proceed’

Step 12: Preview to make sure that your informations are correct and click

‘Finish’

Step 13: A message will display stating that you have successfully completed a process, click ‘Ok’.

HOW TO APPLY FOR LIS PENDENS FORM A (PENDING SUIT)

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘Lis Pendens’

Step 2: A page will open with the form A: Lis Pendens (Pending Suit) already on display (On Default)

Step 3: Fill in the necessary fields;

    1. Enter ‘Suit No’

    2. Select ‘Court Type’

    3. Select ‘Name of Judge’

Select ‘Date of Commencement of Suit’

    1. Enter ‘Parties, Claimant and Defendant’. Use the ‘+’ icon to add more claimants or defendants

    2. Fill in the ‘Summary of Claim’

    3. Enter the ‘Longitude and Latitude (optional)’

    4. Enter the ‘Address of Property’

Step 4: Click ‘Save and Continue’

Step 5: A prompt will appear with the information, ‘Lis Pendens Successfully Saved’. Click ‘Continue to Preview Lis Pendens’

Step 6: The certificate will appear, click ‘Print’ to either save as pdf or print.

HOW TO APPLY FOR LIS PENDENS FORM B (DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE)

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘Lis Pendens’

Step 2: A page will open. Click on ‘Discharge Certificate’

Step 3: Fill in the necessary fields;

  1. Enter ‘Suit No’

  2. Select ‘Court Type’

  3. Select ‘Name of Judge’

Select ‘Date of Commencement of Suit’

  1. Enter ‘Parties, Claimant and Defendant’. Use the ‘+’ icon to add more claimants or defendants

  2. Fill in the ‘Summary of Claim’

  3. Select ‘Date of Judgment’

  4. Enter the ‘Longitude and Latitude (optional)’

  5. Enter the ‘Address of Property’

Step 4: Click ‘Save and Continue’

Step 5: A message will display with the information ‘LIS PENDENS Successfully

‘Saved’, click ‘continue to preview Lis Pendens’

Step 6: The certificate will display, click ‘Print’ to either print the certificate or save it as pdf.

HOW TO GET LIS PENDENS FORM C (APPEAL)

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘Lis Pendens’

Step 2: A page will open. Click on ‘Appeal’

Step 3: Fill in the necessary fields;

  1. Enter ‘Suit No’

  2. Select ‘Name of Judge’

  3. Select ‘Court Type’

  4. Enter ‘Parties, Claimant and Defendant’. Use the ‘+’ icon to add more claimants or defendants

  5. Fill in the ‘Summary of Claim’

Select ‘Date of Commencement of Suit’

  1. Select ‘Date of Appeal’

  2. Select ‘Date of Judgment’

  3. Enter the ‘Longitude and Latitude (optional)’

  4. Enter the ‘Address of Property’

Step 4: Click 'Save and Continue'

Step 5: A message will display with the information ‘LIS PENDENS Successfully Saved’, click 'Continue to Preview Lis Pendens'

Step 6: The certificate will display, click 'Print' to either print the certificate or save it as pdf.

HOW TO APPLY FOR LIS PENDENS FORM D (SEARCH REPORT)

Step 1: On your dashboard, click ‘Lis Pendens’

Step 2: A page will open. Click on ‘Search Report’

Step 3: Enter ‘Suit No’ or ‘Address of Property’ and click ‘Search’

Step 4: Enter ‘Filter by Name’ if you have several Lis Pendens with the same suit no and click ‘Clear’

Step 5: Click ‘Make Payment’ to get more information about the land

Step 6: Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to make payment for Lis Pendens Search

HOW TO VIEW RECEIPTS

Step 1: On your dashboard, place your cursor on ‘Reports’

Step 2: A drop down will appear, click ‘Receipts’

Step 3: Search for the particular receipt in the field provided

Step 4: Click on ‘View Details’ to display your invoice as seen below

Step 5: Click on ‘Print’ to either Save as PDF or Print the receipt.

HOW TO VIEW HEARING NOTICE

Step 1: On your dashboard, place your cursor on ‘Reports’

Step 2: A drop down will appear, click ‘Hearing Notice’

Step 3: Search for the particular hearing notice in the field provided

Step 4: Click on ‘View Details’ to display the hearing notice as seen below

Step 5: Click on ‘Acknowledge Received’ to either Save as PDF or Print

HOW TO CHANGE ACCOUNT

Step 1: On your dashboard, place your cursor on ‘Reports’

Step 2: A drop down will appear, click ‘Change Account’

Step 3: Select ‘Court Type’

Step 4: Enter ‘Suit Number/Application ID or System ID’

Step 5: Enter ‘New Counsel Email Address’

Step 6: Confirm New counsel email address

Step 7: Click ‘Make Payment’ to successfully transfer ownership of that matter to another counsel.

HOW TO VIEW CASE STATUS:

Step 2: On your dashboard, click ‘Case Status’

Step 3: Select ‘Filling Type’

Step 4: Enter ‘Case ID/ System ID/ Application ID/ Suit Number’ Step 5: Click on ‘View case Status’

HOW TO VIEW YOUR CLAIMANT AND DEFENCE FILINGS

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click

‘Filings’

Step 3: A page will open, click on ‘New Filings’ to view your claimant filings and

‘Defence Filing’ to view your defendant filings

Step 4: Click the plus (+) icon of any suit, to view a brief information concerning the suit or click on Case ID or Status to view everything about the case.

HOW TO VIEW PENDING SUITS

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click

‘Pending’

Step 3: A page with all your pending suits will open, click the plus (+) icon of any suit to view a brief summary of the suit or click on Case ID or Status to view the case details.

HOW TO VIEW AFFIDAVITS

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click

‘Affidavits’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all your affidavits, search for the particular affidavit using name, reference no or affidavit type.

Step 4: If what is in the action column of that particular affidavit is ‘Make Payment’, then click on it. It takes you where you can proceed to make payment, you also have the opportunity to edit the affidavit.

Step 5: If the action column of that particular affidavit says ‘Preview’ then click on it. It takes you where you can view your stamped affidavit, upload your signature and also print the affidavit.

HOW TO VIEW MOTION FOR JOINDER APPLICATIONS

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click

‘Motion for Joinder’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all the motion for joinder you applied for, click ‘Commissioned’ in the status column (or whatever shows there) to view the case details.

HOW TO VIEW APPEAL

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click

‘Appeal’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all your appeals, click on any ‘Case ID’ or ’Status’ to view the case details.

HOW TO VIEW MOTIONS

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click

‘Motions’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all the motions you applied for, click on any ‘Application No’ or ’Status’ to view the case details or make payment depending on your status. You can also download the list/page.

HOW TO VIEW LIS PENDENS

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click ‘Lis Pendens’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all your Lis Pendens, click on any ‘Action’

to view the Lis Pendens Certificate and print or save as pdt.

HOW TO ACCESS LIS PENDENS SEARCH REPORT

Step 1: On your dashboard, go to ‘Filings’

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click ‘Lis Pendens Search Report’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all the search report you applied for, click on any ’Action’ to view Lis Pendens certificate or make payment depending on the action.

Step 2: Once you place your cursor on it, a list of things will come out, click ‘Old Cases Payment’

Step 3: A page will open with a list of all your old cases payments, click on any

’Case ID’ or ‘Status’ to view case details.

PROCESSES OF CHAMBERS REGISTRATION

Step 1: Open the Rivcomis site using: www.rivcomis.riversstate.gov.ng Step 2: Input your ‘Legal Mail’ and ‘Password’

Step 3: Click on ‘Chambers Registration’

Step 3: Enter ‘Chamber name’

Step 4: Enter ‘Chamber Address’

Step 5: Enter ‘Chamber Phone Number’ Step 6: Enter ‘Chamber Website’

Step 7: Enter ‘Principal Name’ Step 8: Enter ‘Principal Email’

Step 9: Upload CAC document and Allied Document in pdf format and click

‘Save’

Step 10: You will receive a notification that the chamber registration was successful, click ‘Ok’
